Wallace Pomotional ashtray! Salesmen probably gave these away to impress their customers.
Actually promotional pieces and sample plates go for some big bucks which would make sense as they probably did not make very many of them. But then, how much restaurant china in any particular pattern was made? And in the case of Wallace (out of business for 38 years), how many are left?
