This piece is signed by Russell Wright who seems to have worked for a great many pottery and china companies.
Sterling China pitcher, butter plate, and gravy. This really great set is donated to us by Linda. She is curious if anyone out there knows the name for this pattern. I am terrible with pattern names. That pitcher is huge and looks like it is mint condition. Great piece! Thanks, Linda
This piece was used forever in the United States Navy mess halls. I believe it was used for holding butter or celery sticks.
I have sold a few of these on Ebay and they went for over $30 a piece (in 1999). Wow!
