This plate measures 10 1/2 inches across and has the coolest backstamp. That backstamp will be shown here in the near future. Above the backstamp are the words YE OLDE MILL
If you threw this at someone, you would go to jail for assault with a deadly weapon, or murder. This thing weighs a ton. you could put a rope on it and anchor a small boat.
This is a 'tweed pattern'. Now I could be wrong but I think Desert Ware items are generally in reference to the tan bodies of the china. Syracuse had a bunch of tan stuff under the name Adobe Ware and Jackson as Jac-Tan. But that is not to say that those companies did not market lots of china in tan bodies under their normal backstamps. That they did in very large qurantities.
